I forgot my username.

Your username is the email address you used to register with If the email address is not on file , you'll be asked to create a new account. Then, you will receive a confirmation email that your account has been activated.

How do I change my email address?

Log in using the email address currently associated with your account, click on the "Settings" link, and enter the new email address. Save your changes by clicking "Save." You will receive a confirmation email to your new address.

Why should I order through orderPCBs?

OrderPCBs is a secure ordering system that works with trusted and reputable board manufacturers. We have negotiated the best rates possible and quotes are received instantly.

How do I give the manufacturer specific instructions about my board order?

To notify the manufacturer of specific instructions about your board order, please include "Read Me" file in your zip files.

What information is needed to get a quote?

To receive a quote, you need only include your uploaded Zipped Gerber files, board dimensions and options, your quantity, and the turnaround time required.

What is the turnaround time for a quote?

Quotes are instant. Manufacturers have 24 hours to accept or decline your order.

Where do I find manufacturer specifications?

Currently, offers one standard service from KingBrothers. We are in the process of adding more services. Click here to view the service.

What are the minimum board dimensions?

Currently, no side can be less than 0.5 inches.

What are the maximum board dimensions?

The maximum individual board area allowed is 100 Square inches and no side can exceed 15.9 inches.

How long is my quote valid for?

Quotes are valid for 30 Days.

Is my quote a guarantee of price?

Quotes are based on the accuracy of information provided. If adjustments need to be made based on the specifications included in the files, your final price may differ. You will be notified prior to any changes being made to your order.

Can I save a quote?

If you are logged on to your account all orders are placed in "Draft" status until the order is purchased. *Drafts are only stored in your account for 7 business days and will be deleted after that time. A notification will be sent reminding you a Draft order is about to expire.

How long is a quote saved in my account?

Draft orders are saved for 7 days. During those days you can find your draft on the My Orders page when you are logged in. Click the draft to see the expanded view and click "Resume Order" to continue and/or finish the order process. You will receive a reminder email 48 hours before the draft order expires.

If I order from a board house in China, what happens to my order during the Chinese New Year?

If your order is placed prior to the the Chinese New Year, the manufacturer will still process the order. If your order is placed during the holiday, acceptance will be delayed the length of the holiday. Please keep this in mind when choosing your manufacturer during holidays.

Can I place multiple orders at once?

Currently, can only place one order at a time per customer, per manufacturer.

Order Status

Where can I get the status of my Order?

Log in to and go to the "My Orders" page to view details of all your orders. You can click the link on your order confirmation email to see the single order details - including order status.

What does "Order Pending" mean?

"Pending" means that the manufacturer has received your order, but has not yet reviewed all the files and details of your order. Please allow 24 hours for the manufacturer to review your order. After your order is reviewed, it will either go straight to processing, or it will be put it on hold and a customer service representative will contact you.

What does "Order Processing" mean?

"Processing" means that your order was reviewed and accepted by the manufacturer as submitted. Your order is now being fabricated and will be sent to you within the turnaround time you selected unless further questions or issues arise.

What does "Order On Hold" mean?

"On Hold" means that the order process has been paused by the manufacturer. Our customer support team will contact you within the next 48 hours with further details regarding the hold. If there are changes that need to be made, our customer support will confirm everything with you before manufacturing continues.

What does "Order Shipped" mean?

"Shipped" means that your order was shipped by the method of your choosing, and you can get ready to receive your new boards. You can find the tracking number on both the shipping confirmation email you received and on the "My Orders" page.

What does "Order Completed" mean?

A order that is marked as "Completed" should have been received. We hope you are happy with your new PCBs. If there are any issues with your new boards or if you did not receive them, please contact our customer support team. To ensure that you are helped quickly, have your order and tracking number on hand.

What does "Order Canceled" mean?

Canceled means, that we have not been able to get your and the manufacturer's board requirements to meet, and the order needed to be canceled. Your money will be automatically refunded to the card you used within the next 48 hours.

Who do I contact if my Order is on hold?

If your order is on hold, you won't need to contact anyone. Our customer support team will get in touch with you within 48 hours to supply further details.

Who do I contact if my Order gets canceled?

You don't need to contact anyone - unless you want to. Your money will be automatically refunded to the card you used within the next 48 hours. However, our customer support team is happy to help you with any questions regarding your canceled order. You can either call +1 (208) 639-6462 or email.

How do I cancel an order?

Orders may only by canceled during the draft phase, because of the quick turn around time and the speed of manufacturing, orders that have been accepted may not be canceled.

File Requirements

What are the supported design file formats?

The site supports RX-274X gerber files and Excellon Drill files compressed into a single zip file.

How to I upload multiple design files, such as those exported from PCBWeb?

All files should be placed into a single zip file to be uploaded.

What happens if the manufacturer needs to make a change to my design files?

The manufacturer will place the order on hold and a technical service representative will contact you. Any changes will be confirmed with you before they are made.

How do I export design files from Eagle?

In Eagle, you need to go to File → CAM Processor. Once the CAM Processor has opened, go back up to File → Open → Job. Newer versions of Eagle provide standard CAM jobs. They are located in the Eagle folder under the sub-folder "cam". Choose job that fits your requirements the best. Once the job is opened, click Process Job and the gerber files will be created.

How do I export design files from Altium?

To setup the Gerber file output, go to File → Fabrication Outputs → Gerber Files. Change the settings as appropriate for your board. Once that is completed, go to File → Export → Gerber. Verify that it is set to export in the RS-274X format. Then, select what layers you'd like to export and where you'd like to have them exported to.

How do I export design files from PCBWeb?

Go to File → Generate Gerbers. The gerbers will be generated, automatically placed in a zip file, and placed in the same folder as the project file.

Do production times include weekend days?


Are production times business days or hours? (e.g. is 3-day equivalent to 72 hours or to 3 business days?)

Production Time is based on business days - not including holidays (Chinese or United States).

Where will my boards be manufactured?

This will depend on the board house you have selected. Currently, boards are manufactured by KingBrother in Shenzhen, China.

How big can my board be? How small?

This is dependent upon the manufacturer.

How many layers can my board be?

This is dependent upon the manufacturer. Twelve layers would be a safe, lower number, but some people have used up to 28.

What other constraints are there?

This is dependent upon the manufacturer.

What are your fastest manufacturing times?

After acceptance of an order by a manufacturer, your order can be built and shipped in three days (depending on the number of layers) and will arrive four days after shipping.

Pricing & Payments

How is price calculated?

Price is calculated by board dimensions, number of layers, and quantity.

How are OrderPCBs prices so low?

We have negotiated with the manufacturers to give you the best possible rates.

Will I need to pay sales tax?

Sales tax will only apply if you are shipping to Idaho.

Will I need to pay VAT?

At this time VAT is not required.

Will I be charged customs fees?

Duties and taxes are covered in the cost of shipping, though there may be custom taxes due upon delivery that you are responsible for.

When will I be charged for my purchase?

You are only charged once the quote has been accepted by the manufacturer.

Will my payment information be secure?

Absolutely. All payments are processed through a third-party system called Stripe. Your payment details are stored and secured by Stripe. and the manufacturers cannot access your card information. To learn more about Stripe and the security of payments processed through them, please visit Stripe.

Do you take Purchase Orders?

We currently do not accept purchase orders.

Do you accept PayPal?

Unfortunately we do not accept PayPal payments at this time.

Can I pay by check?

Due to security issues, we do not accept checks.

My company has a separate purchasing department. Does my controller need an account?

If payment needs to be made by a different department, they will need access to your account. OrderPCBs advises that you instead use a corporate credit card.

Do you offer corporate discounts for volume ordering?

Manufactures have created their pricing matrix to give you the best possible pricing and the price per board does decrease as the quantity of boards increases.

Do you offer Resale orders?

Currently we do not offer resale orders, though OrderPCBs is working to develop this capability.


Where can OrderPCBs orders be shipped to?

Orders can be shipped globally, as allowed by local government laws.

Can I ship to a different location than I'm ordering from?

Absolutely. You can add a different shipping address during the first step of the checkout process. Just deselect the check box on the right that says "Same as Designer" and type in the alternate shipping information.

What are my shipping options?

We offer four day shipping via UPS and DHL.

Will I be charged customs fees?

Yes. You will be responsible for all customs and VAT charges.

Where do I get my tracking number for my order?

You can find the tracking number on the shipping confirmation email you receive when your order is shipped or in your "My Orders" page. The number will only be visible after your order is shipped.


My design files are proprietary—are the files secure?

Yes. OrderPCBs uses Amazon's AWS cloud data services for securely storing your design files. For more information on security please see

Who will see my design files besides the manufacturer?

Your files may be reviewed by OrderPCB engineers to look for any issues and to validate the integrity of the files.
